A tedious and hard job
Eleanor is a retired NHS nurse, she worked many night shifts in her time as a nurse. She decided to reflect on her experiences working for this organisation. Within her time working for the NHS Eleanor has seen many changes. For example, the technology has moved on greatly within the time she has worked there.
When Eleanor started there were no computers however now everything is done via computers. She describes being a nurse as a tedious and hard job and that anyone considering this career must definitely like people. Eleanor felt that her job working for the NHS has taught her not only how to help patients but how to love better.
She said that the most important thing is to show respect for patients and relatives, and to be consistent and respectful not only to those above you but also to the people you worked with.
